About EACOP: A Landmark Project
The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project is a landmark midstream oil infrastructure development, spanning 1,443 kilometers from Hoima in Uganda to the Chongoleani Peninsula near the Tanga Port in Tanzania. Once operational, the pipeline will play a key role in exporting Uganda’s crude oil to international markets.
EACOP is not only a groundbreaking engineering project—it’s also a platform for regional development, capacity building, and socio-economic empowerment. Program Overview

- Duration: July 7 – September 30, 2025 (12 weeks)
- Eligibility: Undergraduate students enrolled in Tanzanian universities.
- Objective: Offer practical experience, professional development, and mentorship in various departments.
âś… Graduate Trainee Program
- Duration: July 7, 2025 – June 30, 2026 (1 year)
- Eligibility: Recent graduates holding a minimum of an Upper Second-Class degree.
- Objective: Develop future leaders in the energy industry through structured training, exposure, and real-world problem-solving.

📝 Application Requirements
For Interns:
- Must be Tanzanian.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a recognized Tanzanian university.
- Minimum academic performance of a second upper class.
- Must submit:

- Valid student ID
- Current academic transcript
- Aged between 18–28 years.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Female students are highly encouraged to apply.
For Graduate Trainees:
- Must be Tanzanian.
- Must hold at least an Upper Second-Class Bachelor’s degree.
